Philippine iPad Release Could Happen as Late as August or Later
In case you’ve been waiting for the official release of iPad in our dear country, well you’re out of luck. News had it that it might happen as late as August or later. Apple recently announced the international release of iPad for 9 more countries on May 28. Unfortunately our beloved country is not included in the list.
Even for the second batch of international release in which Singapore and Hong Kong was included, Philippines was still not included.
So, if you’re eager to have an iPad, you’re best bet would be the gray market sellers in Greenhills, online sellers of Tipidpc.com, or ask your friends or family members in the U.S. to buy one for you. Or wait till the iPad gets released in Singapore. Hopefully, the Apple Online Store (Philippines) will carry it by then.

No words yet on which Globe data plans will this be released. But judging by the popularity of the BlackBerry among Filipino smartphone users, I’m pretty sure that this will be a hot commodity starting May 8. So, if I were you, I’m heading to the nearest Globe hub now to reserve this unit.
Full press release after the break. Read more
