Temple Run released on Google Play aka Android Market

In any list of great games for iOS devices, Temple Run is always included. This has become the subject of envy among Android users. But today, that envy has just ended as Temple Run for Android has been released on Google Play (formerly known as the Android Market). Temple Run for Android is available now as a free download. It’s the same game as the iOS version and I guess the only difference will depend on what Android device you are using.

I downloaded Temple Run and played it for a couple of minutes and all I can say is that, the game looks gorgeous on my Samsung Galaxy Note. Even my 6 year old daughter who is a better Temple Run player than myself exclaimed, “Wow! It looks clearer!”

So, if you’ve been waiting for Temple Run for Android, follow the link below to download the game from Google Play, it’s free.

How and Where to Get the “New iPad” aka iPad 3 If You’re in Manila, Philippines

As you may have read in various tech sites a couple of hours ago, Apple has revealed the latest generation of iPad. The new iPad will have the same models as the iPad 2. Even the price range for all models were the same when the iPad 2 was introduced. Since, Apple will still continue selling the iPad 2, its price has to be lower than the new iPad. Given those facts, are you planning to get the new iPad? It will be available in Apple Stores in several countries by March 16. Pre-ordering has already started from these stores as well.

Unfortunately, the Philippine Apple Store is not among those which will be getting the iPad on March 16. The good news is that distribution of the new iPad seems to be in a rush so Apple decided to include Singapore and Hong Kong as among the countries which will be getting the new iPad together with the U.S. and Canada.

So, if you’re in Manila, Philippines and you want to buy the new iPad, you’re best bet will be to get this from either the Hong Kong or Singapore online Apple stores. Another good news here is that you can use your Philippine issued credit card to purchase the iPad from these stores. All you need is a valid Hong Kong or Singapore address where Apple will send your new iPad 2. I’ve done this when the iPhone 4S was released in Singapore. No hitch or whatsoever.

So, are you buying the new iPad? You better pre-order it now to ensure that you’ll be getting your unit starting March 16, 2012. Good luck!

It’s not iPad 3 nor iPad HD, but simply The New iPad – It’s All About Resolution

Seriously? Is the next generation going to be called – the New iPad? Apple just announced the new iPad which many have been anticipating to be called either iPad 3 or iPad HD. But knowing Apple, it just won’t give us what we wanted and will surely veer away from the norm.  So, the new iPad is called – yes, the New iPad. We all better get used to that.

So, what’s new with the New iPad? For starters, it will have Retina Display. Imagined the transition from the iPhone 3GS to iPhone 4 and you’ll pretty much get how improved the display capability of the new iPad from the iPad 2. To be technical how about, the new iPad’s screen resolution is measured as 2048 x 1536.

The new iPad will also have a 5MP iSight Camera, faster and yet the same dual-core processor, quad-core graphics, and 4G-LTE when it is released through Verizon and AT&T.

Price range is the same as the prices of the iPad 2 when it was launched last year (starting at $499 for the base 16GB model). This bumps the price range of the iPad 2 down to $399 for the basic model. Availability will be on March 16, not only for the U.S. for also for Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Switzerland, UK and the US Virgin Islands on Friday, March 16.

In the looks department, it’s pretty much the same as the iPad 2. Although some people are saying that it’s a bit thicker than the iPad 2.
