Just found out that the Acer ICONIA Tab A500 is already available from VillMan Electronics. So, I checked out their site and indeed found a product listing for the said Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet. Now I’m torn between getting this now or wait up for the release of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. Unfortunately, the new Galaxy Tab’s release in the U.S. was also delayed, so there’s a slim chance that it will be available anytime soon in Manila. Acer probably knows this. Filipinos want a more powerful Android tablet than the old Galaxy Tab, so they immediately released the Acer ICONIA Tab A500 to get a headstart from competitors.
Question is, will the Acer ICONIA Tab be as more interesting as the Galaxy Tab 10.1 or Asus Eee Transformer which is also scheduled to be released this month? Which Android 3.0 Tablet would you get if you’re planning to get one?
Here’s a quick look at the Acer ICONIA Tab A500 specs:
- Android Honeycomb 3.0
- NVIDIA Tegra 2 Dual Core 1GHz
- 10.1 WXGA (1280×800) Capacitive Multitouch screen display
- 1GB of RAM
- 5MP back-facing camera
- 2MP front-facing camera
Villman Electronics is offering the ACER ICONIA Tab A500 on a 6 months installment term. 🙂
