Smart Telecoms is currently accepting pre-orders for its two flagship Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) devices – the HTC Desire HD and Sony Ericsso Xperia Arc. Both Android smartphones are available for free under Smart’s 2500 consumable plan or unlimited data plan 3000. The HTC Desire S is available under Smart 2500 consumable plan and unlimited data plan 2000.
I have seen the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc, played with it for a few minutes and I can say that it’s a pretty handsome phone – slim and sexy with a very nice OS and UI. Although, I haven’t seen the HTC Desire in flesh yet, I’ve been reading some great reviews about it. Plus of course, it’s a follow up to an equally great HTC phone, the Desire. So if you own the device right now and want to upgrade, the HTC Desire S seems like a pretty good option.
Incidentally, if you’re planning to get any of these Android smartphones from Smart, you might as well compute whether you’ll be getting it at a better deal from Smart than getting it unlocked through online resellers. One retailer is offering the HTC Desire S for less than Php 25K.
So, if you were to get a new Android smartphone, which would it be? – the HTC Desire S or the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc. As for me, I couldn’t decide right now.
