MSI WindPad 100W Win7 Tablet Available Now at Villman

Just found out that Villman Computers, one of the major computer retailers in the Philippines is now carrying the MSI WindPad 100W. In case you’re not in the loop, the WindPad 100W is a Windows 7-powered tablet featuring a 10-inch wide LCD Multi-Touch Display among other features enumerated below.

You can grab one from VillMan Computers located in major malls in the Metro for Php 29,995. Villman is also offering it on a 6 months monthly installment (Php  4,999.17/month).

  1. Funny, just 18-24 months ago netbooks were the best thing to ever happen to the computer industry. Everyone and their grandma needed to get one and Engadget was breathlessly reporting on every new netbook announcement. Netbooks were going to take over the computer industry and kill off the laptop computer. They were also going to kill off Windows since they originally all shipped with Linux (probably the reason why the media encouraged the netbook fad in the first place).

    Now “netbook” is like a dirty word, just like “stylus.” It’s almost as if Steve Jobs is telling people what to think and do.

    Reading Engadget it’s getting hard to tell what’s a trend and what’s just a fad. Are tablets really the future or will we be so over them 18 months from now? I’m guessing it depends upon who’s winning in that market at the time.
