Just got a word from Digital Hub, an official Apple Retailer in Manila that the iPad will be available this week (tentatively Friday, Dec. 19). Yes, it took this long before Apple’s magical device reaches our beloved island “officially.” For those who didn’t bother to source out the iPad from the grey market and other means and opted to wait for the official release, I’m telling you right now – it’s definitely worth the wait. You wouldn’t believe how much the iPad’s SRP would be once it’s available locally.
In fact there are earlier “rumor” that Power Mac Center will be offering the entry-level iPad at around Php 23,999. But if you’re a veteran Apple buyer, you’d know that Power Mac’s prices are not the cheapest among Apple retailers in the country.
How about Digital Hub’s prices? Well, it’s definitely lower than Power Mac’s iPad prices. My advice is for you to visit the nearest Digital Hub outlets and reserve your iPad as early as now. It would definitely sell like hotcakes once available.
Good luck people!
