Globe Telecoms Philippines to Start Handing Out iPhone 4 on Sept 26!

Finally, Globe is releasing iPhone 4 units to those who went through the tedious  process of signing up for interest, reserving online, confirming with Globe CSR and finally receiving their claim stub for iPhone 4 Manila launch day on Sunday. If you’re one of the many who went through the said steps you’re probably excited by now, waiting for Sunday to arrive.

Globe has been sending out electronic stubs with instructions on where and when to get their iPhone 4 units on Sept. 26. Words on the street say that there is a special launch happening today at the Globe office in Makati. Some “priviledged” Globe subscribers are getting their units today. While the rest of us, ordinary Globe subscribers will have to wait until Sunday to pick up our iPhone 4 units either in Shangri-la Hotel in Makati or New World Hotel in Pasay.

Each of those who got their confirmation stub are assigned time slots when they can pick up their units. Globe has also sent some friendly reminders on how to speed up the process on Sunday – including what to bring and what to do upon arrival at designated areas.

I got a confirmation stub and was assigned to pick up my iPhone 4 in Shangri-La Makati. I’m hoping to get my unit as fast as I can. Hopefully, the process will not slow down once more people come in.

And yes, Globe will be setting up some special booths at the place for iPhone 4 users to set up their units as well as score some iPhone 4 accessories. I don’t really expect to see the free iPhone 4 Bumpers there, though.

So, whose getting the iPhone 4 on Sunday?

    Good luck!

  2. I hope we can get in, since the e-stub, based on the official instructions sent by Globe, is required upon entry.

  3. The email has the estub pala. It’s the “boxed” thingie with the details. 🙂
@13th Fool – you should receive an email containing the estub.

  4. Yes, but all details in the e-stub were verbally relayed to us by Globe – date, time and location. Do you think the call is equivalent to the stub?

  6. I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own weblog and was wondering what all is required to get setup? I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very internet smart so I’m not 100% positive. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Appreciate it
