To continue my iPhone/iPod Touch Mania series. What’s the next thing you do after getting your brand new Apple toys? Shop for the best cases. And since both of these devices are fairly new in the Philippine market, the hunt for the best cases for these two is very challenging. Fortunately, PowerMac has just put out their stocks of iPhone 4 Cases. But they still don’t have any for the new iPod Touch.
What comes after unboxing the new Apple iPod Touch? – Review. I’ll make this short and sweet since I still have to write my iPhone 4 review. Last time I heard, Power Mac is already making the new iPod Touch available today. But I’m pretty sure stocks will be limited. Digital Hub has been getting quite a number of orders the past few days. I ordered my iPod Touch from the Apple US Store and had it delivered by my trusted forwarder Johnny Air Cargo. Anyway, on to my short, sweet and informal review of the new iPod Touch. It’s the 4th generation of Apple’s most popular product now, in case you’re interested to know.
I got this email from Power Mac last week, before this Sunday’s iPhone 4 Manila launch. I didn’t bother to check it out since I’m already getting my phone. So, if you fail to score an iPhone 4 yesterday you might want to visit you’re favorite Power Mac outlets and inquire whether they really get you an iPhone 4 under Globe postpaid plans. Check out the full PR after the jump, and good luck!
After unboxing the iPhone 4, it’s the iPod Touch 4th Generation’s turn to get some unboxing love. First thing I noticed upon holding the iPod Touch 4G is the thin form factor. Definitely thinner than previous iPod Touch and even the iPod Touch 4. The Retina display is a killer improvement if I may say so. I tried the FaceTime app by calling my iPhone 4, and I would say that it was a cool addition to the iPod Touch features. Anyway, more photos after the jump.
Here you go, some unboxing photos of the new iPhone 4 which I got earlier today from Globe Telecoms. See more photos after the jump.
So, I just spent 4 hours of my precious Sunday waiting in line at the Shangri-La Makati this afternoon to get my iPhone 4. My appointment slot was 1-2 pm. I was there 30 minutes earlier but was told by the Globe staff that I can only enter the area at exactly 1 pm. 10 minutes before 1pm, another Globe staff started calling people with 1pm appointment. It’s a good thing I didn’t leave the place to wait somewhere else. So, I got in the pre-assessment counter where a Globe staff checked if I have the necessary requirements as detailed in the confirmation email they sent earlier.
I’m here now at Shangri-la Makati for my 1pm appointment with Globe to get my iPhone 4. Got a number at the reception but was told to come back by 1pm. I can see people holding Globe paper bags and umbrellas. Replacement for the free iPhone bumpers?
Finally, Globe is releasing iPhone 4 units to those who went through the tedious process of signing up for interest, reserving online, confirming with Globe CSR and finally receiving their claim stub for iPhone 4 Manila launch day on Sunday. If you’re one of the many who went through the said steps you’re probably excited by now, waiting for Sunday to arrive.
If you just got an iPad Wi-Fi+3G and has not yet cut a regular mobile SIM or subscribed to Globe’s microSIM postpaid plan Php999, you might want to hold off for a little while since Globe might soon release a prepaid microSIM for iPad. Want proof? Check out the App Store and search for this app – “Globe Services.”
