I was recently invited to attend a media event by Neo Manufacturing, makers of highly affordable netbooks and laptops in the Philippines. For seveal years now, Neo has been improving on their products and could now easily compete with top-tier brands Acer, Asus and others in the Philippine computer market.
At the media launch was several NEO netbooks and laptops with powerful specs. Here they are:
Neo Basics B4105
Powered by the new Intel Core I5 430M processor, the Neo B4105 notebook features 14-inch widescreen HD LED LCD, 6-cell battery, 2GB of DDR3 system memory, 2.26GHz Intel Core i5 processor with Intel Turbo Boost and Hyper-threading technology, and Windows 7 Home Basic.

Neo Basic B3230
This is Neo’s take on the netbook market which is still hot until now in the Philippines despite its waning popularity in other countries. The Neo Basic B3230 netbook boasts of Intel Atom N450 Pinetrail platform, 2GB of RAM, 320 GB of HDD, WiFi N connectivity and Windows 7 Starter Edition.
These are just two of the netbooks which was shown during the event. Price point for the Neo Basic 3230 is at Php 17,999 while the Neo Basic B4105 is at Php 35, 999. Neo netbooks and laptops are available from Neo stores nationwide.
