Had a chance to review the Western Digital WD TV Mini Player recently. This new media player is the new version of the WD TV Media Player which became quite popular. One major feature of the WD TV Mini Media Player is that it now enables you to playback RealNetworks Real Video content plus of course your stored digital content in up to 1080i HD resolution. So, it’s perfect for your HD Television.
It was my first time to connect a media player to my Samsung HD LCD TV so I really don’t know what to do first. But since, the WD TV Mini Media Player offers a plug and play setup I was able to playback some videos and photos stored on my Western Digital Passport external drive.
The playback is pretty good. Overall interface is very user-friendly. One thing that you will like about the WD TV Mini Player is its portability. So you can practically bring it anywhere, plug it into any TV with either USB port or the usual component and composite output and you’re good to go.
Best of all, this device comes in cheap lately. You can score one from any electronics shop for around Php 2,500K +.
