In case you’ve been waiting for the official release of iPad in our dear country, well you’re out of luck. News had it that it might happen as late as August or later. Apple recently announced the international release of iPad for 9 more countries on May 28. Unfortunately our beloved country is not included in the list.
Even for the second batch of international release in which Singapore and Hong Kong was included, Philippines was still not included.
So, if you’re eager to have an iPad, you’re best bet would be the gray market sellers in Greenhills, online sellers of Tipidpc.com, or ask your friends or family members in the U.S. to buy one for you. Or wait till the iPad gets released in Singapore. Hopefully, the Apple Online Store (Philippines) will carry it by then.
Had a chance to review the Western Digital WD TV Mini Player recently. This new media player is the new version of the WD TV Media Player which became quite popular. One major feature of the WD TV Mini Media Player is that it now enables you to playback RealNetworks Real Video content plus of course your stored digital content in up to 1080i HD resolution. So, it’s perfect for your HD Television.
Just got a word from a press contact that Globe and RIM will be releasing two new colors of the BlackBerry Curve 8520 – Ruby Red and White. The BlackBerry Curve is one of the most popular entry-level BlackBerry device which was released in the Philippines.
A couple of months ago, the Curve 8520 black model has run out of stock, so it’s quite surprising that RIM and Globe are releasing these two new Curve 8520 models.
No words yet on which Globe data plans will this be released. But judging by the popularity of the BlackBerry among Filipino smartphone users, I’m pretty sure that this will be a hot commodity starting May 8. So, if I were you, I’m heading to the nearest Globe hub now to reserve this unit.
Full press release after the break.
