Western Digital has released a new iPhone/iPod Touch app that lets you access stored photos on your Western Digital My Book World Edition and WD ShareSpace Network drives. The app practically allows you to access those photos practically anywhere you are.
The iPhone app is being offered as free download from the App Store. Its key features include the following:
So, it’s been a week of romancing my new Apple iPad. I’ve tried all possible features – video playback, games, email, photo slideshow, iBooks and iBookstore, sync my Gmail contact, rented a movie from iTunes, redeem iTunes Gift card, post tweets, blog, check Facebook and more. I guess it’s time for a full review of the Apple iPad.
Finally, after getting “detained” at the Customs Bureau for five days, my iPad was finally delivered to me today. But that was after several email rants sent to FedEx as well as paying for “unreasonable” duties and taxes (DT) as assessed by the Bureau of Customs.
Anyway, too cut a long story short I finally got it. It cost me around Php 32+ including shipping and DTs.
Earlier today, some BlackBerry users received this SMS alert asking them to forward on the BBM message to their contacts to maintain their BBM service. The SMS alert claims that the message was issued by RIM.
Rest assured that this BBM message did not originate from RIM and that it does not impact the security of BlackBerry smartphones. It is simply a hoax chain message. Unfortunately, many social networking applications face this scenario, whereby any message, including a hoax message, can be forwarded to a user from one of their contacts. We recommend that users simply ignore the message and do not forward it.
So, I was able to catch Mornings ANC hosted by TJ Manotoc and Ginger Cornijero and another guy. TJ whom I just followed on Twitter also host the Tech Talk segment of the show. And guess what was part of his segment this morning? – The iPad of course!
TJ’s guest was Ronald Benzon, Philmug.ph moderator and Gabe Mercado who are both Apple Enthusiasts. The two were able to get some hands-on time with an iPad owned by ? (I forgot the name, sorry). Their verdict? Watch the video.
I’ve been reading about some guys here in Manila who have been getting their hands-on the Apple iPad. Apparently some sellers have made it available on eBay. There’s this post at Philmug.ph that says a seller was able to dispose of 10 units of the iPad quickly.
While of course, Yugatech managed to get this hands-on an iPad as well, courtesy of @tjmanotoc. Incidentally ANC will be airing an iPad special this morning at 9am. So if you have the time, go watch it.
My iPad should arrive later this afternoon via FedEx (hopefully). Will post some unboxing photos and try to make a video as well as soon as I have it.
