Canon Ixus 100is, Hands-On Photos and Impressions

For the past couple of days (or weeks) perhaps, I’ve been looking at the Canon Ixus 100is. I needed a back-up, carry-anywhere digital camera that would give almost the same picture quality as that of my Canon 40D, minus the weight and bulk of the DSLR.  The Canon Ixus 100is or Powershot A780is in the U.S., is a small and slim point-and-shoot camera with 12MP CCD sensor.

The Ixus 100is is HD video capable, has several photo settings to tweak and great picture build-up, especially on Macro mode.

I got my Ixus 100is from a local dealer, and I got it for a great deal. Will publish a full review once I get to play with my new Ixus 100is in the coming days.

In the meantime, enjoy these unboxing photos.
