Wabbadabba is weird sounding name for a search engine. Even “weirder” is the fact that Wabbadabba is giving out cool prizes to lucky users who use their search engine. Sounds cool or sounds scam? The usual answer would of course be the latter and even if the search engine portal has been live since February, there are still doubts as to whether the prizes are for real or not.
Wabbadabba claims that it has already given out 1615 prizes so far. It would have been more credible if the portal would put out testimonials of those who have already won although this would seemed pretty demanding since those prizes are gift vouchers from Amazon ranging from 5-10 pounds.
Currently, Wabbadabba is promoting that it will be giving away a plasma TV. Sounds interesting? Maybe, if they really have the LCD and will really be giving it out to a lucky Wabbadabba users.
Whether those prizes are true or not, still remains to be seen and proven. On another note, being a search engine how does the search results fare? If you are a Yahoo search user, then you would find the Wabbadabba search results quite accurate since it is powered by Yahoo search.
It was pretty accurate actually as I did a search of the keyword paradise philippines and I couldn’t find my paradise Philippines blog anywhere in the Wabbadabba SERP. I got the same thing when I did the search at Yahoo engine.
At any rate, there’s no harm in using Wabbadabba for your daily search needs. Who knows you might grab some decent amount of Amazon gift vouchers.
Incidentally, there were nothing in the Wabbadabba portal that says anything about the mechanics of the drawing the prizes. It would help iron out things if Wabbadabba would provide a brief note about this mechanics.
At any rate, if you are a Yahoo search user, you might want to try using Wabbadabba instead, even only for the meantime and find out for yourself if they are really giving away those vouchers.
