Now, why would bloggers put Google Talk Gadget on their blog? I don’t see any point in adding this Google widget, gadget or whatever you might want to call it, on anyone’s blog. But if you are a heavy user of Google Talk and you want your Gmail contacts send you messages and displays those messages in your blog, then Google Talk Gadget is for you.
For those who have been using Google Talk (GTalk) since it was introduced by Google, Google Talk Gadget is its web application counterpart. Users do not have to download the application in their computer to run the IM application. They can either use Google Talk via their Google Personalized Home Page (with just one mouse click) or embedd Google Talk Gadget in their webpages or blogs by inserting a code snippet.
If you are a heavy user of Google Personalized Home Page, then this a nifty application that would integrate two Google applications under one browser window. Actually, that’s it! That’s the only advantage of using Google Talk Gadget. I really couldn’t think of some thing more.
