Posted by arnold | February 27, 2007 .

Study each candidates track records if you have the time, find out their platforms and examine them carefully before choosing your magic 12. Our country’s future depends on the laws and legislations they will pass when the new Senate convenes after the May 2007 Philippine senatorial elections. God help us all Filipinos.

Check out the links to the senatoriables’ online presence. Some of them really put an effort in to making their online presence informative. I intentionally did not include the other Senatorial candidates on the list because it’s just a waste of space. Let’s all face it, the 12 Senators would definitely come from these two groups anyway.

So who will you vote for in the coming senatorial elections in May? Who will be in your magic 12? Leave a comment and let’s start a discussion here.

I wish every candidate had their own personal site so we can carefully assess their qualification. It is important to know them well before casting our votes.

  2. Mike March 8, 2007 5:42 am

Good effort to put up the links of the Senatorial candidates. I found all of them myself on Wikipedia.

“Some of them really put an effort in making their online presence informative.” True! Yet most of them are self-serving. But still, it’s worth reading!

  3. arnold March 8, 2007 8:20 am

Mark - Some of the candidates still belongs in the bygone era of traditional politicking.

Mike - I couldn’t find a single site which have all the links to the senatorial candidates online site. I agree that most of those online presence are self-serving, except perhaps, escudero’s website (^wink). thanks for dropping by man.

  4. kaia March 8, 2007 7:19 pm

this list of candidates is badly needed at school, good thing someone had the time to put this here..ü

  5. jesse March 8, 2007 9:10 pm

peste sila!!!ewan!!!!pahirap silang lahat…and we’re supposed to have our mock elections!

  6. Rev March 9, 2007 11:05 am

This is probably the worst candidates we have in the history of senatorial elections. I can only pick a handful who are qualified for the position. Gone are the days when we have credible senators like Lorenzo Tanada, Jose Diokno, Turing Tolention and Ninoy Aquino.

  7. rhodilee March 13, 2007 6:48 pm

Some candidates do not have blogs and websites but information about them are available in government sites. You may also check Philippine Elections 2007
for candidate’websites, friendsters and blogs links

  8. arnold March 14, 2007 10:11 am

kaia - thanks. please spread the link to your classmates.

jesse and rev - there are still some good names from the list. I know you can still find some good senatoriables.

rhodilee - yes, I’ve visited your blog/site. Keep it up.

  9. a-ghie March 14, 2007 6:23 pm

    >i wish i could hav an online chat with the senators so i could ask them about their works and programs for the fiipino people and maybe i could give them some suggestions or comments about their performance..

  10. gus March 15, 2007 12:26 am

i can only choose 1 or 2 candidates. the rest are all recycled names with no accomplishments. the one that sucks the most in both lists is loren legarda. she’s soooo plastic.

  11. gus March 15, 2007 12:33 am

by the way, loren legarda leviste, aside from being plastic is such a fake. she dropped her last name LEVISTE when she ran for VP because she knew it was more of a liability. she has learned the ropes of land grabbing techniques from her ex-husband killer tony leviste. watch her talk. you can see how insincere she is. she has mastered the art of deception on live TV. what’s this country coming to?

  12. JACKY March 15, 2007 7:13 pm

FOR THOSE CANDIDATES WHO HAVE BLABBER MOUTHS, FAULT FINDERS, WASTING TIME ON FIGHTS AND MEDIA EXPOSURE
( THEY HAVE ALL THE TIME TO BRING THEIR SENTIMENTS DIRECTLY TO THE HIGHEST COURT INSTEAD OF MEDIA) PLEASE STUDENTS!!!!!!!!! DON’T GAMBLE YOUR VOTE. A REAL SERVANT IS NOT HUNGRY FOR EXPOSURE BECAUSE HIS TIME IS BEING SPENT ON PROJECTS.

  13. JACKY March 15, 2007 7:28 pm

I USED TO BE AN ACTIVIST BEFORE, BUT NEVER BECAME A LEFTIST. THE LEFTIST IS USING EFFECTIVE “BRAINWASHING TOOLS”, THEY WANTED ME TO TAKE REVENGE AND LEAVE IN THE MOUNTAIN WITH GUNS. THE HAVE NO GOD. THEY NEVER NEST IN RICH COUNTRIES, BECAUSE THEY WILL HAVE A HARD TIME TO RECRUIT HUNDREDS OF MEMBERS (ESPC’LY, STUDENTS). IF YOU ARE POOR, YOU WILL BILIV AND TAKE REVENGE TO THE GOVERNMENT. WE WERE MANY, SOME OF MY FRIENDS DIDN’T COME BACK AND DIE WHEN THEY WANTED TO BACK OUT, PARENTS ARE MISERABLE, HANDLING THE PAINS OF LOOSING THEIR CHILDREN. BEING A LEFTIST IS A ” CAREER” FROM REVOLUTIONARY TASKS (MONEY THEY GOT IN SCARING PEOPLE) THEY ARE BEING PROVIDED BY FINANTIAL ASSISTANCE LIKE EDUCATION OF THEIR CHILDREN WHILE THEY ARE IN THE MOUNTAINS, HOUSE AND LOTS AND OTHER INVESTMENS….THEY HAVE LEADERS NOT ONLY IN THE MOUNTAINS BUT IN METRO MANILA WHERE THEY ARE BRINGING ALL THEIR MONTHLY COLLECTIONS. MORE INFO TO COME….

MAG-INGAT SA MGA LATANG WALANG LAMAN!!! SILA ANG MAIINGAY!!! Imagine, if you have neighbors, ofismates, or even members of your family—eyeing you all the time, watching your next step to mistake??? hahaha!!! he will spend time focusing on media exposure, radio interviews, mastering the art of ruining somebody’s reputation so that he will surface like everyONE’s hero!!!! hahaha!!! is he thinkin a master plan of his own as public servant???

  16. JACKY March 18, 2007 11:56 am

LOREN LEGARDA, as far as I know. SHE IS KABIT… they say in radyo congreso, i heard it every night.

  18. Neil March 23, 2007 8:43 pm

people when voting should consider not only candidate’s platform but also his records of achievements both popular that is good for the people and the unpopular that only good to few. Some candidates keep coming back to politics NOT really to serve the people BUT enrich themselves, protect the family’s wealth and interest.. Also sana wag naman tayong bumoto to those candidates na magiging part lang ng SILENT MAJORITY na wala naman gagawin kundi umupo at bumoto. MAHIYA NAMAN if you are a lawmaker you should know how to make laws, laws that will be implemented, improve the lives and protect the people from harm lalo na ang mga taxpayers. I is also my wishful thinking na sana ang mga corruption sa government ay hindi lang puro exposures but merong din sanang punishments especially yung mga highly publicized case. Some must not rob the wealth of the nation and go with it unpunished NAKIKITA MO PA SA TV AT BIDA PA. AY NAKU BUHAY SA PINAS???

  19. alicia March 25, 2007 4:11 pm

kay noynoy tayo mukha siyang mabait at sincere parang madaling lapitan

  20. torsky of zamboanga city March 28, 2007 4:14 pm

Be carefull to all candidates who are fault digger, media milleager, and doing nothing but waist their time talking and complaining ( CAYETANO, ESCUDERO, LEGARDA, PIMENTEL and OSMENA) you guyz waisting our money that we have paid you….we want actions….OKKKK….

To CAYETANO: Stop making news out of your capacity….be like your sis…shes like a shalow water runs deep….work lang ng work…di gaya mo…talk and talk and talk…..talk…talk never ending talk….

  21. romel March 28, 2007 4:22 pm

To ESCUDERO and CAYETANO: where so tired of you….if you want to get the sympathy of the people dont put others down,,just make your campaign (decent one)..the more you talk the less be have doubt on you..your FUTILE if gets elected…Why? a good talker normally does nothing…dont worry we wont vote you here…UP Maroons..

Go nonoy aquino…your father must be proud of you…but be careful to peoples besides you…like escudero, cayetano, legarda, pimentel, chavit, osmena==> sa parlor ka nlang kya doon ka nag-eexel.

  22. green archers March 28, 2007 4:32 pm

    For senators:

    1. Noynoy Aquino
    2. Kiko Pangilinan
    3. Joker Arroyo
    4. Manny Villar
    ====nothing follows====

    Dont vote the following:
    1. Cayetano
    2. Legarda
    3. Escudero
    4. Osmena
    5.Tessie

why? No integrity, no hearts to serve…and TRAPOOOOOOOOOOOO

  23. Imrac March 29, 2007 2:39 pm

I heard the same thing about LOREN LEGARDA. She dropped her husband’s name for fear that it’s not going to help her political career. For Loren, it’s political ambition over family. I wonder what she would give up for the PRESIDENCY!!!

  24. Imrac March 29, 2007 2:48 pm

P.S. To those of you who are voting for Noynoy because he looks mabait and is a bachelor, please think again. You do not vote for people on their looks or on their marital status. Get to know the guy. What has he done in the House of Reps. If he did well, then why is he still using his father, mother and sister’s names in his ad? Why not state his accomplishments in the House instead?

  25. juan March 29, 2007 5:13 pm

    kay noynoy tayo..malalim

  26. rem March 30, 2007 10:35 am

i only have three names in my list right now. pangilinan, noynoy aquino and joker arroyo. those that are capable of legislating laws and addressing national issues. i heard tessie oreta has turned Christian already and has forgiven the marcoses, whether or not they were behind her brother’s assassination. and she said sorry… i think forgiveness can heal a nation.

  27. Alex April 10, 2007 5:19 pm

    My list:
    1.Defensor
    2.Zubiri
    3.Arroyo
    4.Kiko
    5.Recto
    6.Phicay
    7.Escudero
    8.Villar
    9.Angara
    10. Coseteng
    11. Sotto
    12. Magsaysay

  28. linda April 11, 2007 10:59 pm

Your list is incomplete! That is unfair! I think this is one reason our country is losing its useful human resource. Haven’t we gone tired of these traditional politicians? As if the more than 80 million Filipino people are fathered by only these few candidates that only their names keep coming back during election times.
Pls refrain from pre-empting election results; just list down all the candidates and try to present also their platforms. You will truly make good use of this site. Thank you very much.

  29. amber April 12, 2007 12:40 am

I agree, the list is not complete, there is another group of senatorial candidates called KAPATIRAN. This group is composed of three members namely, Atty. Zosimo “Jess” Paredes, Atty. Adrian Sison and Dr. Martin Bautista. I know these names are not familiar to most, so you may want to read about them. You can check out their website at http://angkapatiran.org.

  30. JACSTONE April 12, 2007 5:05 pm

A PRESIDENT who loves her OWN FAMILY is a REFLECTION OF A GREAT LEADER…who will love the entire nation.
How can you tell me na you care for me, we’re not even RELATED BY BLOOD??? IF Your husbband, a father of your children is always your last priority…how can you tell me that YOU EVEN CARE FOR ME as your kabayan only, hypocrite? I SALUTE GMA FOR THE ATTENTION SHE’S BEEN GIVING FROM THE VERY START TO FG, mabuhay ka!!!

  31. carmen e libertino April 13, 2007 10:23 pm

LET US VOTE PEOPLE WHO MAINTAIN THEIR INTEGRITY.NOT CANDIDATES WHO FLY FROM 1 PARTY TO ANOTHER WALA SILANG PANININDIGAN AT 1 SALITA LET US BRING ORDER TO OUR COUNTRY THROUGH OUR PALABRA DE HONOR ANP PERFORMANCE GOD BLESS US ALL

  32. Jett April 14, 2007 6:40 am

Let us vote candidates with a loyal stand with their parties not those TRAPO…(like TUTA) Team Unity of Trying hard Administration… Im not a G.O. loyalist but I really believe in their advocacies and flatforms…Lets GO.. (genuine opposition) the hope is in you..

  33. bob April 14, 2007 7:52 pm

weel as you can see yung line up ng GO ay puro corrupt like for instance, CHAVIT umamin k kasama nya c erap s jueteng at kaya pumiyok dahil n lugi s hatian SOTTO,ANGARA,ORETA mga balimbing wlang naipasang batas ni isa, DEFENSOR kalalaking tao napaka taklesa at walng nai2long s mahihirap bagkus pahirap n ginawa s mga pabahay kuno sabi s kanila n daw yun pla relocation type lng tpos sasabihin nmimigay ng lupa. yan b ang mga iboboto nyo??????????? mga kapatid gising po im not telling n iboto ang opposition i do hates some of them also but be vegilance to your list?????

  34. JACKY April 15, 2007 8:29 pm

ROCCO WAS STOCKED IN THE ELEVATOR FOR 30 MINUTES???

i cant vote coz im still 17,but if only i can i go for LACSON and JOKER……

  38. Inday April 18, 2007 4:37 pm

Vote for those who can deliver. Blabbermouths have no place in the senate. If elected, these “talkators’” first agenda is impeachment. What will happen to us ordinary people? We will be witnessing a rehash of the circus. Why not work on solving the country’s problems?

  39. buddy April 19, 2007 4:35 am

vote wisely to have a progressive country!

  40. Lindy April 19, 2007 7:30 am

I agree with Inday.
    My pick:
    Lacson
    Zubiri
    Angara
    Arroyo
    Defensor
    Pangilinan
    Roco

The GO ad displays a grim picture of the country’s situation and blames it all on the government.

  42. JACKY April 19, 2007 9:53 pm

at puede ba PAKISABI naman kay Darlene, be professional if not a corporate look. she looks “KATULONG” or nagtitinda ng KAKANIN SA PALENGKE”… have a little physical preparation on camera…she’s a public servant, para siyang laging nasa bahay kapag may interviews….hindi nya ba pinaghahandaan ang pagseservisyo sa bayan?…it’s not “Beauty n the beast”ITS THE UGLY AND THE PROMDI(darlene)….at least, MANNY has a very lo-education, IT’S ACCEPTABLE, but Darlene has a high education…hindi ba naituro sa kanya yan? hindi ba siya umatend ng personality development??? naman….!!

  43. Dean Ricardo M. Guevara April 20, 2007 2:13 am

vox populi vox dei, vote whom you want to vote, but ever try to influence others or comment on their personal preference, this is the essence of democracy, in an election the ballot is the only equalizer between the rich and poor, the educated and the ignorant. let’s just hope and pray that the election will not be marred by violence and cheating. frankly reading some of the comments, if you have senseless and unkind words to say, please refrain from uttering opinions which degrades not only the person your talking about but primarily yourselves, mga bata pa kayo at wala pang napapatunayan sa mundo, help in nation building, finish your degree, work in the philippines and stop bago kayo pumuna sa kapwa ninyo examine yourself first; nobody’s perfect at least the candidates have the guts to present themselves to the people, let the people decide.

  44. marc April 20, 2007 11:28 am

godbless to all the candidates and i hope that the corruption will stop if they will win…..

dont worry i’ll be the 17th president of the philippines…..

  45. JACKY April 20, 2007 5:21 pm

SORI ZANVILLE IF YOU DID NOT AGREE then…, ok lang yan sa akin…if not sa iba, ok din. Am not pleasing every1 in all my comments, what important is i biliv in what i biliv….and I stand for it no matter what. PERSONALITY IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME you know…it’s the BRIGHTER MIRROR OF A HIDDEN YOU…(psychology speaks) if I have a partner, or associates whom I am goin to meet for an important matter or occassion and i found the she/he looks lousy that very hour, unprepared for no important reason. I FEEL AM NOT IMPORTANT TOO for her or for him…and the occasion is not important too., and what is important?? or more important anyway? PLEASE DARLENE APPLY KA SA CORA DOLOROSO ( the basic school for personality dev.), for you to know hw imprtant is your physical appearance when dealing with pipol. IT REFLECTS YOUR INNER INTENTION AS YOU APPLY TO A COMPANY FOR A JOB. if you have an allegy in make-up, at least PAKI-AYOS NAMAN ANG HAIRDO…hindi ka mag-aalaga ng anak, BAYAN ANG INAALAGAAN MO.

  46. JACKY April 20, 2007 5:30 pm

AND I DONT WONDER WHY GENSAN HAS A LOUSY DEVELOPMENT.

  47. JACKY April 20, 2007 5:46 pm

I DONT LIKE VILLAR PERSONALLY. HE HAS STRESSFULL EYES, HIS EYES REPRESENT HIS HUNGRYNESS FOR MORE MONEY TO COME AND MORE MONEY TO SPEND. THAT EYES REFLECT AN EYE OF A VERY TIRED PERSON WHO HAS STRUGGLED FOR MATERIAL THINGS IN HIS LIFE FOR MANY YEARS..

  48. JACKY April 22, 2007 6:14 pm

FOR THOSE PINOY WHO BECAME VERY SENSITIVE regarding Sec.Raul Gonzales’ comment about Campbell. He means in general poh “CARELESSNESS OF EXPATS, b’coz HE SIMPLY KNOWS OUR “KABABAYAN” and that ‘comment’ is nothing but very sensible and smart to expats…mas grabe silang mag-comment at mas-bastos kaysa mga Pinoy,remember!..mas outspoken and candid ang arrive nila at walang personalan, they always mean performance kaya very fast ang pag unlad nila compare to us who always follow the serpentine flow of progress with very sensitive pinoys That is why, KUNTING ISSUE LANG SA OPISINA or in any organizations we are into MADALI TAYONG TABLAN and we are out of focus na. Campbell 2-year-stay in our country was not enaf for her to be comfortable and take the rules for granted and she forgot that her blood is very differnt….her culture is very diffrent!we should praise Sec.Raul for that comment b’coz expats will think na wala rin tayong BILIV sa mga pinoy na katulad natin, how can they trust all of us? KAYA PALAGI TAYONG NAGIGING ALIPIN nalang all our lives. BE BROAD ENAF MGA PINOY. The secret of japanese is “waRa kaming paki-eRam sa expats, kayo punta sa japan kayo makisama, kami ang Raging importante sa bayan namin. HINDI KAYO”

  49. JACKY April 22, 2007 7:02 pm

don’t wori VOTERS…jaz tell them to vote based on their SENSES (SIGHT & hearing) if they don’t know the candidates personally. using ConsCience to vote are ONLY for those citizens who are being told or paid for. SENSE OF SIGHT (how does the candidate talk, smile or his/her overall gestures and physical appearance) SENSE OF HEARING (what does he/she talking about? or promising for, his/her personal background and family etc.) your STRONG SENSES will help you vote wisely than not to vote at all… or jaz simply based your vote in indecisive careless manner, sayang lang diba poh?! WALA ITONG PAG KAKA-IBA when you make a choice for a lifetime partner who will stay with you the rest of your life, for better or for worst.

I am OFW and want to vote in my home town coz I’m going home this may but phil consulate in jed don’t allow ofw voting in phil. so i have only the senators to vote on friday and they are those who don’t spend too much in their campaign like Gringo, Trillanes, Victor and the other respected politician without considering their expenses like joker, recto, angara, defensor, lacson, noynoy, cayetano, pangilinan, villar and my idol escodero.
I like legarda but she never deserves to be a senator with heart for avoiding a link to her husband tony who spend his life for her and now a victim of wrong doing due to her separation.

  52. Rockclimber April 25, 2007 1:47 pm

Hate to the max ko ang mga (ga) “GO”. They have nothung to offer but vicious attacks on the administration as if napakalinis nila eh mga trapo naman sila lahat.

Peter Cayetano servered his term limits in the House and accomplished nothing. I suppose if elected to the Senate he will fit right in since the Senate has done nothing for the people of the Philippines because they have been too busy holding investigation. Peter Cayetano the Senate was made for you, but the people of the Philippines deserve better.

Benigno Aquino III learned well from his Mother. Before the election has been held he is laying the ground work to blame the Administration of cheating. He totally ignores the grass root organization the Administration has in place. Perhaps if you win you can pursuade your Mother and the rest of the family to distribute the Sugar Cane land your family has manage to keep from the laborers. Maybe you can correct the mess your Mother created in the Educational System when she allowed English to be removed from the curriculum.

  87. Evelyn May 7, 2007 1:27 pm

I hope every Filipino voter will use his right to vote wisely. I hope he will take to heart and mind that to vote wisely is to vote for candidates who can truly serve the country at the expense of his personal interests–working to uplift the human dignity of every Filipino as his CREATOR desires. Otherwise, they will allow the country to suffer much more in the hands of those who serve their selfish desire for power and money and destroy the dignity bestowed by God to the Filipino People. We are already experiencing the consequences of some of them in families — broken, homeless,in want of material, moral and spiritual help, shattered by bad influences of drugs, pornography, deteriorating fashions and social relatios, etc…

  88. Evelyn May 7, 2007 1:35 pm

Let us learn from what Scotland is undergoing. Let’s pray, act and hope that the Philippines will be spared from such fate. Please, read the ff:

Catholic Bishops Urge Voters to Challenge Attacks on Christian Values “at the Ballot Box”
    by Bishops’ Conference of Scotland
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
    1. We, the Catholic Bishops of Scotland, greet you in the name of the risen Christ. As we continue to celebrate the mystery of Easter, we renew our hope in Jesus Christ as the source of our salvation.
    2. Elections to the Scottish Parliament and to Local Authorities are approaching. Each of us is called to make practical political choices for the sake of the common good of the people of Scotland. These choices should be made in conformity with our faith in Christ.
    3. The Bishops recognise that many people in politics work conscientiously to achieve good, and we commend them to you. At the same time we cannot fail to notice a conflict of values in society. This conflict of values is reflected in the political sphere in policies, social legislation and regulations which are seriously at odds with the insights and values of our Christian faith and of other faiths.
    4. The Bishops remain deeply concerned about legislation which allows abortion, embryo experimentation, easy divorce and civil partnerships. We have always campaigned against poverty, deprivation and injustice. We have raised our voices against a new generation of nuclear weapons. We foresee with apprehension a campaign to legalise euthanasia. We find ourselves having to counter criticism of the very existence of Catholic schools, in large part prompted by an agenda which aims to remove religion from the public sphere.
    5. As well as these serious matters, Government has advanced proposals which imply a stealthy and unjust attack on the freedom of religion itself and on the rights of conscience. Earlier this year new regulations were enacted at Westminster which could prevent Catholic adoption agencies from carrying out their work according to the Catholic and Christian vision of family life. Last year, in the face of widespread opposition, the Scottish Parliament extended the right to adopt to unmarried and same sex couples. These dubious innovations are detrimental not just to the good of the Catholic community but to the common good of humanity as a whole. They deserve to be challenged at the ballot box.
    6. The coming elections give us an opportunity to vote wisely and to choose the best political representatives for our communities. Many of those standing share our Christian values. There are signs of a desire for an authentic Christian voice in politics serving the common good of people of all faiths and none.
    7. Your Bishops urge you to use your vote to support the candidates who offer the best chance of bringing the voice of a truly human and Christian civilization to the decision-making chambers of our country. We invite you to look beyond the superficially attractive and fashionable to recognize those policies and values which are most in tune with the dignity of the human person and with the common good of our society.
    8. To help you vote, we attach with this letter a number of questions you may wish to consider yourself and put to your election candidates.
    9. Our faith is in the risen Christ. We are all to witness to Him even in our political choices, in the hope that we can make his love for all men and women more effective in our country!
    May God bless you all.
    Yours devotedly in Christ,

Definitely this site is biase!!! There are some independent candidate who has good platform and good intention than most of the crooks in your list. you better check who you are voting and always remember not to be deceived by there good smile and what they can give you. look at their heart, loook at their intentions and especially look at the track record, are they really the senators you want our country needs?!!

Vote for Dr Martin Bautista for senator, he’s a very principled man who left a flourishing medical career in USA to help bring about change in this country. among his plans include to improve health services, review of national debt service, agrarian reform to promote a culture of life, peace and active non-violence and most importantly, to bring back JESUS CHRIST as the center of governance..

How insincere naman! Do they think they can fool the intelligent voters?

  98. jeny deocariza May 9, 2007 10:01 am

To all voters pray first before you vote, and vote for the “The Righteous man”.
They have fear to the LORD..

And I pray to all people to know JESUS…
    GOD BLESS you all…

Because that will not speak of good attitude of a Christian individual…. Basta ako, Si Alan Cayetano kasi straight opposition ako plus si Pangilinan…….Pro Hindi ko sinasabi na iboto niyo rin sila…..Kung saan kayo masaya, kung sino ang pinagkakatiwalaan niyo, kung ano ang inyong prinsipyo, iyon ang dapat ninyong ipaglaban sa pamamagitan ng inyong mga boto………Iyon lang po……Thank you very very much for this Ads……Madami din akong natutunan dito………..bye bye bye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  100. Lizzy May 9, 2007 6:42 pm

Genuine Opposition & Team Unity are the same level but they are different in terms of qualities & premises. For me,I vote for Kiko Pangilinan for no.1 in my voting list.

  101. Odin007 May 9, 2007 7:49 pm

election is around the corner and I only have a magic 5, have yet to decide on the other 7.

My general rule on how to select senators… BILLS PASSED. That’s what they’re really supposed to do anyway, I don’t give a damn what bridges they built or what they handed out to the poor, or what donations they gave to one group or another, they’re supposed to pass bills to deal with issues of national importance and that is how I will choose them.

Joker Arroyo - I wish he provided more online info about bills he passed, but he’s always been on my radar as one of the good guys anyway. Seldom in the limelight, but quietly attends the sessions and makes decisions anyay. Any comment guys? You can still sway me in one way or another on this one.

Ralph Recto - even though he came from my province, I always thought he is just another ex-mayor who rode on a TV star’s popularity. Then I checked the bills he passed and WOW, this guy knows what he’s doing. Most of the bills passed are about taxation/economic reform/poverty alleviation. His bills speak for him, you can’t dissuade me on this one.

Ed Angara - Considering the absence of Winnie Monsod (a more outspoken critic and more focused on our educational system), I think I’ll vote for him to deal with our country’s educational needs. He knows how to present his case well, so it’s kinda like choosing a lawyer you hate simply because you think he can win the case for you. But someone mentioned he voted to hide the evidence during Erap’s trial (I seem to be the one with short term memory), is this true?

Francis Escudero - I don’t agree with him on most issues. Hell I wish he didn’t pass most of the laws he did pass. But bottomline is he’s doing his job. (if you’re on the other side of a political issue, I’d rather have this guy representing you) Any comments guys?

Francis Pangilinan - Just like Recto, I thought he is just riding on Sharon’s popularity. And he seems to have no particular focus, got a hodge podge list of bills. At least I know he’s doing his job. And while I disagree with some of the bills and some are of little significance, many are quite good also.

The other seven, I have yet to decide, some of these senators I already scratched off the list, some I have yet to decide due to lack of information, some already gave me a positive image in the past (at least as positive as a politician can get), but I still need to be reminded of their achievement before I decide. So if any of you guys have something to show (BILL wise at least), then tell me about it. Sayang isang boto.

BTW, I have some skills in PHP/ASP, a bit too late to offer it, but I’ll offer it just the same. If I think any of you senatoriables is worth it, no need to pay me, just give me what you want to publish and cover the cost of webhosting (for such a short term purpose, you may not even need to spend anything, we can always take advantage of free webhosting services).

GOD KNOW IT… thank you

LET’S VOTE WISELY THIS COMING MONADY, MAY 14

Lets just vote for those who deserve.

to all Pinoy. HINDI PO TAYO NUMBER ONE CORRUPT, according to Secretary of Commision Against Corruption.

    IF GO TEAM WILL WIN THIS ELECTION 2007, THE FOLLOWING GENERAL ANALYSIS SHOULD BE CONSIDERED;

    1. TOO MUCH MEDIA EXPOSURE since 2004

    2. MEDIA HAS ALWAYS BEEN ONE SIDED, proven a thousand times, telling only the negative issues to the public, and has always been a “bias”

    3. HELLO GARCI SCANDAL (altho it has not proven yet)

    4. PINOY SENTIMENTS FOR ERAP AND FOR ERAP’S PIPOL (what is more critical? being a cheater or a plunderer?, many were accused as cheaters from the past presidential elections but seldom a “plunderer”…sadly, still the choice is the latter, shame on dogs!

    5. PINOY votes more on sentimental factors rather than judgemental issues. Pinoy, most of us are not risky goer but adventurers, always have diffrent taste preferrenz instead of focusing on re-building what is suppose to be ” on the process of improving…” impatient pinoys always go the the flow of the majority……that’s why the majority of us… still economically “miserable”

6.GO TEAM has the Youth Image, popular to most young voters

if they won, LETS ALL SUPPORT THEM, PERO SANA TUTUONG MAGALING NGA SILA?….sana nga, lets challenge them!!!
