Remix Your Favorite RSS Feeds via Yahoo Pipes

Yahoo just released a cool new service under the name Pipes. To simply put it, Pipes enables users to mix different RSS feeds into one web application by dragging and dropping different set of modules together to create a function that would result into a preset result. Whew!

If my simple explanation sounds Greek still, well here is how the official Pipes Overview describes it:

Pipes is a free online service that lets you remix popular feed types and create data mashups using a visual editor. You can use Pipes to run your own web projects, or publish and share your own web services without ever having to write a line of code.

If ain’t enough still, Anil Dash, Nick of Techcrunch, Read/Write Web are just some of the bloggers who first posted about this new Yahoo service.

Frankly, the Pipes interface looks pretty cool, and developing your own pipes seems pretty easy but then, I’m still struggling to create my own Pipe or even clone an existing Pipe. Talk about “not having to write a single code” eh?

But then, I’m not a programmer nor a web developer. I’ll wait till a more detailed online tutorial is available before I’d explore this Yahoo service.
