Yes, you read it right. I am one of the bilions of YOUs, named by the Time Magazine as Person of the Year 2006. Congratulations to me. But, then of course, I am only exaggerating. Well, not really because I as a blogger, have been pretty much doing some of the reasons why TIME named You (We) as the Person of the Year. I participate in online collaboration via community application tools such as YouTube, Wikipedia, and Myspace (what, no Friendster?). This blog as well as my other blogs, plus my accounts in Vox, Bloglines, my blog feeds and my Bloglines’ subscriptions, my Amazon associates account, etc. are in one way or the other a product or by-product of the Web 2.0 craze.
And for all this,
“…And for seizing the reins of the global media, for founding and framing the new digital democracy, for working for nothing and beating the pros at their own game, TIME’s Person of the Year for 2006 is you…”
So whether you think that this is the best link bait of the year, or confused why Time did this only now, still the fact is We are all Time Magazine’s Person of the Year. I am one of Time’s Person of the Year 2006 and I deserve to put this (un) official seal on this blog.
