Read from BBC News that Sony Japan is coming up with Sony Reader, an electronic handheld devices for e-books. The device has a screen which is made from electronic paper thus reducing eye strain when reading e-books.
It measures almost the same as an ordinary paperback, weighs 250g, and with a battery life of 7,500 pages before recharging, It would be great to have this kind of device especially for people who are always on the go and do not have the patience to carry books with them, and that includes me. But unfortunately, once it hits Manila shores, the introductory price of around 300 to 400 US$ would certainly be higher due to incidental costs (taxes, mark-up, etc.).
